چکیده

The present work investigated the effect of polymer viscosity properties on sintering a fibre-reinforced rotationally moulded composite part. Previous researchers have concluded that characterisation is fundamental to achieving optimum materials processing in rotational moulding. Nevertheless, presence disperse phase during directly impacts current understanding how works heating. Lack pressurisation moulding implies an absence driving forces strongly bond two together as necessary structures. It means and densification are phases which or more can create interface transmit stresses. A novel single-particle interaction test (FPIT) adhesion sintering. was developed identify parameters achieve best fibre. focused measuring polymers' angle contact (AoC) fibre better understand coverage. Combinations glass (G.F.) with polyethylene (P.E.) various melt flow indexes (MFI) were tested role fibre-polymer adhesion. Attempts automate measurement proved challenging, so manual be effective. Sintering results showed has critical wetting, use Hi-MFI resins plasticisers improve Finally, polymer-fibre plays crucial densification, ongoing conclusions about affect full-scale manufacturing process.

Rotational moulding in the production of prostheses.

This paper discusses the place of rotational moulding in the provision of prosthetic shanks and shank sections. It covers the selection of thermoplastic material, the moulding conditions and their automation in a machine process, and the development of a suitable range of moulds. Also covered is the question of interfacing between the moulded shank sections and other limb components, fatigue st...

Effect of a Polymer Network on the Alignment and the Rotational Viscosity of a Nematic Liquid-Crystal

Polymer dispersions were made by photoinduced polymerization of 4,4'-bisacryloyl-biphenyl in liquid crystal 4-4'-cyan0 pentyl biphenyl as nematic solvent. Samples were prepared with 0.5, 1, and 1.5 wt % monomer. The polymerization was done in the isotropic phase. The rotational viscosities of the two lower concentration samples increased only moderately after UV curing (3 mW/cm2, 25 min). The 1...
